This has led to an increase in people investing in EV wall chargers for their homes. Indeed, from this year, all new-build homes must have an EV charger fitted by the developer, by law.

After a tricky UN climate crisis conference, Boris Johnson announced that all new build homes and buildings in England will be required to install electric vehicle charge points from next year. This toughening up of regulations was briefed as ‘’world leading’’ by the PM after stating ‘’we cannot go on as we are’’.

If you’re a first timer in owning an Electric Vehicle, it can be quite confusing to understand the costs of buying, running and maintaining in comparison to what you are used to with your petrol or diesel vehicle. 

Luckily for EV lovers everywhere in the UK, the government are still investing in grants for both the purchase of EVs (cars and commercial vehicles) and also for the installation of charging points – for residential, workplace and commercial.
